Other people also like to prepare meals ahead of time and they use vacuum sealers to preserve them as well. This is referred to as Sous Vide or commonly called as “under pressure” or “vacuum cooking.” Examples are homemade soups and stews that are packaged in a high quality zip-lock freezer bags and stored in the freezer. These zip-lock freezer bags can be removed after and heat them up in pot of boiling water. Sous Vide cooking is commonly used in camping and other outdoor events.
